Hadash, Ta'al and Balad are preparing to officially revive the Joint List this week after months of negotiations, with Ra'am remaining outside the alliance for now.

Polls have shown that if the Arab parties were to run together, they would receive more seats than they would obtain in a separate run.

"We will do everything to prevent the Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir, and Smotrich government from continuing for another term," he said in a statement published by Hadash. 

A new poll by ArPanel reveals strong backing among Israeli Arabs for a unified Joint List, with 82% in favor and a clear preference for new candidates in the upcoming Knesset election.

The revived Joint List would win 13 seats, up from the 10 currently projected when the parties ran separately. The seats came at the expense of Yesh Atid, Naftali Bennett, and Gadi Eisenkot.

Opposition parties remaining separate may actually offer strategic advantages for campaigning against Netanyahu, Rahat explained.

A petition will also be filed to Israel's Central Elections Committee over the forged picture, Bennett's party said.

The bloc, once made up of the four Arab parties, began to break apart ahead of the 2021 elections after Ra’am left the alliance.
