Experts worry Washington could lock in a superficial agreement on Iran’s nuclear program and sanctions relief, then struggle through months or years of technically complex follow‑on talks.

The atomic watchdog said that the confirmation was based on its independent analysis of new satellite imagery and detailed knowledge of the site, adding that one strike had hit only 75 meters away.

The talks are expected to determine whether there is still a path to an agreement between Tehran and Washington, or whether the likelihood of a US military strike will rise significantly.

Reported targets of the strikes could include the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iran’s nuclear sites, or its ballistic missile program.

Earlier this week, Tehran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said a complete halt to uranium enrichment was absolutely unacceptable to Iran.
