The Iranians are no fools. We were not the only ones preparing for the event. They were too. The previous operation taught them a few things.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said later on Thursday that four additional Typhoon fighter jets would be sent to Qatar as the conflict in the Middle East escalates.

“Are you fine? Do you need anything? You are safe. Thank you for helping us,” one man can be heard saying in the video of the incident.

This marks the first time an F-35 has ever achieved a confirmed air-to-air takedown.

In the footage, the pilot is heard warning of "another launch" toward the aircraft, before noting he is "climbing over the skies" to evade the missile.

Approximately 30 female aircrew members, including pilots and navigators, are participating in the strikes on Iran, the military announced.

Arab states in the Gulf, all close US allies, have come under Iranian drone and missile attack since the United States and Israel launched airstrikes on Saturday.

Kuwait's Defense Ministry confirmed later in the morning that several American warplanes had crashed in Kuwaiti territory, but that the crews had survived. 

Two fighter jets, one an F4 and one an F5, were already out on the runway and preparing to take off when the IDF struck.
